Communities of flood affected villages.

MDF carried out an extensive survey on behalf of OPP-R&TI, for the rehabilitation of the destroyed houses in the Rain Flood 2011. It started survey in affect villages namely Sawan Mari, Khalid Ahmed Baloach & Hagi Soomar Kot UC Mirabad of Taluka & District Tando Allahyar.

The MDF team entered the villages, found out the partially and completely destroyed houses. They organized the meetings with the affected persons sorted out and made discussions with them. These people were informed that if they are willing to construct walls of their destroyed rooms then theywill be provided roofing material for one room. All the labor will be afforded by the households of beneficiary. The families who agreed on all the terms and conditions were included in the list.

After the discussions with the community members, MDF carried out discussions with the representatives of Orangi Pilot Project (OPP). The list was provided to them of all the affected persons of the areas. OPP conducted survey for the verification of houses of the provided list. Then agreement was finalized among the OPP-R&TI & MDF for the rehabilitation of the houses of flood disaster affected communities.
