Description of Project
Islamic Relief (IR) is an international relief and development charity which envisage a caring world where people unite to respond to the suffering of others, empowering them to fulfil their potential. We are an independent Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) founded in the UK in 1984 by Dr. Hany El Banna OBE.Working in more than 30 countries worldwide, we promote sustainable economic and social development by working with local communities to eradicate poverty, illiteracy and disease. We also respond to disasters and emergencies, helping people in crisis. Islamic Relief started operations in Pakistan in 1992 and was registered in 1994 as a Company Limited by Guarantee under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance, 1984 and Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan. (SECP Reg # 1-01581).
As per project agreement with Islamic Relief Pakistan, MDF carried out the capacity building of 253 beneficiaries through (10 training events of 2 farmer field days for agriculture management from November 24 November – 15 Dec 2014 involving on an average 25 participants male only in each training event.
