Description of Project

MDF With support from SCG is implementing the project “Theater Performance for Promoting Peace Building Among Religious and Community Leaders in Karachi ”. The purpose of this project to promote peace building among Religious and Community leaders. The project supported by the Search for Common Grounds in Pakistan is focused on following objectives:
Increase the capacity of community and leaders of Karachi to develop and implement peace building initiatives for ethnically and religiously divided communities
Develop the leadership potential of at-risk youth by equipping them with the skills, confidence, and resources to work collaboratively on mitigating violence in their communities.
Foster understanding, relationships, and collaborative actions among youth, community leaders and religious leaders to reduce violence.
Influence positive attitude towards the role youth, community leaders, and religious leaders can play as peace-builders in their communities.
Ample Theater performances and stage dramas experience in Sindh.
Documented experience of performing on National and Provincial TV Channel.
Theoretically grounded knowledge of the communities on the Promoting Peace Building among religious and community in Pakistan practices.
Experience working with directors / public and private service providers / NGOs and rural and urban communities on sensitive topics / issues of Honor Killings, Tribal Feuds, Terrorism, Social Injustice, Economic Depravity, Interfaith Harmony, Political Conflicts, Vested Interests Groups and Revolution/Reformation Movements/Initiatives.
