Description of Project
The project aims to reduce the suffering from diarrheal and arresting the incidence of water and sanitation related diseases-moreover, addressing the priority needs of the 351 targeted villages (17,564 most affected households) by providing safe drinking water, improved sanitation and hygiene services in their 351 Villages of Five UCs.The project includes hardware and software components including installation of hand pumps; construction of sanitation facilities (latrines, washing places) and promotion of safe hygiene through Information, Education, Communication (IEC) and Interpersonal Communication (IPC), within the framework of the UNICEF Core Commitments for Children (CCC) for affected families and the early recovery frame work for the Cluster.
